The OROBOROS MitoLab was started in June 2013. The 140 sqm are divided into an office area and the state of the art research area with 24 O2k-Chambers (twelve Oxygraphs), covering the necessities of five researchers and the O2k-development team. According to the concept of open innovation, the Mitochondrial Research Laboratory welcomes visiting researchers from all over the world.
Currently, the laboratory accommodates the Oncotyrol research, which is focussed on the role of mitochondria in tumor development, progression and therapy resistance.
