Description
Sodium fluoride (NaF) is used in combination with beryllium sulfate to form beryllium trifluoride (BeF3โ), to inhibit the ATP synthase if it is exposed by disruption of the mitochondrial membranes.
Abbreviation: NaF
Application in HRR
- NaF: (sodium fluoride; NaF), Sigma-Aldrich: S7920, store at RT, M = 41.99 gยทmol-1
- Preparation of 500 mM stock solution (dissolved in H2O)
- Weigh 209.95 mg of NaF.
- Dissolve in 10 mL distilled H2O under the fume hood.
- Divide in aliquots.
- Store at +4 ยฐC.
