Description
Beryllium sulfate is used in combination with sodium fluoride to form beryllium trifluoride (BeF3โ), to inhibit the ATP synthase if it is exposed by disruption of the mitochondrial membranes.
Abbreviation: BeS
Application in HRR
- BeS: (Beryllium sulfate; BeSO4), store at 4 ยฐC, M = 177.14 gยทmol-1
- Preparation of 200 mM stock solution (dissolved in H2O)
- Weigh 354.3 mg.
- Dissolve in 10 mL distilled H2O under a fume hood.
- Divide in aliquots.
- Store at +4 ยฐC;
- Preparation of 200 mM stock solution (dissolved in H2O)

- Titration volume: 2 ยตL using a 10 ยตL syringe (2 mL O2k-chamber).
